Men’s Basketball
Mike Kennedy – St. Ambrose (Sr., Forward from Evergreen Park, Ill.)
Kennedy averaged 25.5 points and 17.5 rebounds over two games last week, shooting 51.5% from the field and 73.9% from the foul line as the Bees won two more games to extend their win streak to 12 games.
Women’s Basketball
Anna Jones – Iowa Wesleyan (Sr., Guard from Cornell, Ill.)
Jones averaged 20.5 points and ten rebounds last week, shooting 48.1% from the field, 55.6% on three-pointers and 76.9% from the free throw stripe as the Tigers split two games.
Men’s Indoor Track
Keith Brown – Iowa Wesleyan (Fr., from Milwaukee, Wis.)
Brown won the 55-meter hurdles and was second in the 55 meters at the Dubuque A.Y. McDonald Invitational Saturday.
Men’s Indoor Field
Emmanuel Panchol – Ashford (Soph., from Rockford, Ill.)
Panchol surpassed the NAIA ‘B’ standard for national championship qualification with a mark of 46-7 1/4 in the triple jump and hitting the ‘A’ mark with a best of 6-8 1/4 in the high jump.
Women’s Indoor Track
Ebonie Butler – St. Ambrose (Jr., from Davenport, Iowa)
Butler broke the school record in the 300 meters and also was part of another school record in the 4 x 200 relay this past week for the Queen Bees. She won both the 55 and 300 at the Ashford-Augustana-St. Ambrose Triangular.
Women’s Indoor Field
Sarah Wenzel – Ashford (Jr., from Clinton, Iowa)
Wenzel won four field events last week and hit the NAIA ‘B’ standard with a school record mark of 36-7 in the triple jump at the A.Y. McDonald Invite.
Baseball Player
Damil Reyes – Ashford (Jr., First Base from Caracas, Venezuela)
Reyes batted 3-for-9 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI as the Saints won one of three in a series with William Woods (Mo.).
Baseball Pitcher
Joseph Neilson – Iowa Wesleyan (Jr., from Bakersfield, Calif.)
Neilson pitched a complete game and allowed one run while striking out four and walking three in a 2-1 win on the road over #12 ranked Union (Ky.).
Softball Player
Stephanie Hebison – Ashford (Soph., Shortstop from Fremont, Calif.)
Hebison batted .600 with six hits including a double, home run and two runs batted in as the Saints split their first four games to open the season.
Softball Pitcher
Rachel Hong – Ashford (Fr., from Huntington Beach, Calif.)
Hong was 1-1 last week with a save in three appearances for the Saints. She compiled a 0.64 earned run average with one earned run allowed in 11 innings.
