ISC Preseason Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Sports Connection has released their 2011-2012 preseason Iowa high school girls basketball rankings. The defending champions are Des Moines East (4A), Davenport Assumption (3A), Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove (2A) and Martensdale-St. Marys (1A). The season begins with Iowa City West on top of the 4A rankings after their runner-up finish last year. Dubuque Wahlert gets the early season edge in Class 3A, defending champion O-A/BC-IG gets the target placed on their back in Class 2A and the season will start with North Tama (Traer) on top in class 1A.
