- The Cyclones play five of their first eight Big 12 games on the road against teams with a .803 (41-10) home winning percentage. ISU's last three road games have been decided by 6.0 points.
- With back-to-back league wins, Iowa State is tied with Oklahoma State for the second-longest current win streak in the Big 12. The Cyclones won their second game in a row with a 66-57 win at Kansas State on Wednesday.
- Iowa State used an impressive second half to erase a nine-point halftime deficit to the Wildcats. Chelsea Poppens led the Cyclones in scoring for the ninth time this season with 23 points and nine rebounds. Nikki Moody and Lauren Mansfield were also in double-digits with 15 points each.
- Mansfield has been in double-figures in back-to-back games for the first time this season. The senior is averaging 13.5 points and shooting 52.9 percent from the field in the last two games. She has also hit 5-of-8 from behind the arc during the recent stretch.

- The Cyclones are shooting 79.3 percent from the free-throw line in the last three games, nearly 10 percent above their season average (69.7).
- Poppens has posted double-digit rebounds in 10 of the 17 games she has played in this season. The junior leads the Big 12 and is sixth nationally averaging 11.2 rebounds per game.
- Brynn Williamson, who missed the Kansas State game with a knee injury, is tied for third in the Big 12 averaging 1.9 three-pointers made per game.
- Williamson's fellow freshmen Nikki Moody is leading Big 12 rookies in assists and ranks second among them in scoring. She is also fourth in steals.
- Poppens' eight double doubles are second in the Big 12. Only Baylor's Brittney Griner has more with 10.
- Moody is shooting 81.8 percent (18-22) on free throws over the final five minutes of the game this season.
- Poppens is one of two Big 12 players averaging a double-double (Griner).

Crash The Offensive Glass

Former Oklahoma star Courtney Paris accomplished the feat three times and Baylor's Danielle Wilson did it once. Poppens is averaging 4.82 offensive boards per game this season. Below is a list of all the players in league history to average over 4.0 offensive boards in a season:

1. Courtney Paris (OU) - 5.74 (2008-09)
2. Courtney Paris (OU) - 5.67 (2007-08)
3. Courtney Paris (OU) - 5.62 (2006-07)

Recently, the Cyclones were able to hold Texas Tech's Kierra Mallard (13.1 ppg) scoreless for just the third time in 95 career games and K-State's Brittany Chambers (15.4 ppg) to just six points on 3-of-5 shooting. Four of Chambers' six points came in the final minute.

In all, Iowa State has held 11 players that average double-figures to at least five points below their season average.
