Central Iowa Sports Awards Voting Now Open

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Des Moines Area Sports Commission (DMASC), an organization under the Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau (GDMCVB) umbrella, is asking Central Iowans to vote now for their favorite local sports performances of 2011. Online voting is open now through February 12 at www.SeeDesMoines.com/CISA and www.DesMoinesSports.com/CISA.

The Central Iowa Sports Awards (CISA) will be given to individuals and teams who pursued athletic excellence with honor in 2011. The calendar year activities must have occurred within a 75-mile radius of home plate at Principal Park. Award winners will be named at the CISA banquet Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Forte Banquet and Conference Center in Downtown Des Moines, 615 3rd Street. Tickets are available for $50 per seat, or $450 for a table of ten at SeeDesMoines.com/CISA.

“The Central Iowa Sports Awards are an opportunity for all of us to honor excellence and achievement in athletics,” said Mark Kostek, DMASC Vice President of Sports and Development. “Vote today to recognize deserving and talented athletes and teams.”
